Client Case Studies

Froneri

Rivendell have supported global ice cream company Froneri for over 5 years. Given developments in print technology, we recently provided a bespoke print training event with the aim of educating colleagues on different print mediums, processes and packaging suitability. Hosted by print and colour expert, Andy Wilson, Coveris’ Colour Director and Chairman of Flexographic Industry Association UK (FIA UK), the team took a deep dive into print technology, materials and processes, as well as reviewing packaging formats alongside their real-life print plates to demonstrate technology and our full end-to-end service. Leaving with a deeper understanding of Rivendell’s services and print process expertise, in addition to our day-to-day service, we invite clients to take part in print and packaging education days to understand the possibilities available to them.

itsu

Working alongside Asian inspired food brand itsu, Rivendell supported the launch of its new packaged noodle'soup range of heat and eat lunch solutions. Starting at our Pack Positive Centre, an innovation event was hosted for the brand to review the latest food trends and explore sustainable developments in the marketplace. With these insights leading to a packaging brief from itsu, Rivendell’s creative team produced concepts and a range of designs that could deliver itsu’s vision. Since then, the team have been working closely with itsu to perfect the design into the tapered speciality carton that is now available in nationwide grocery stores.

Highland Spring

Rivendell have supported leading Scottish water supplier, Highland Spring for over 15 years. Supporting growing demand for more sustainable solutions, we have recently worked in partnership with the brand to develop a supersize 10-litre hydration pack for home or on-the-go-use. Using 70% less plastic per gram of weight, compared to the average used across Highland Spring multipacks, the packs offer clear environmental benefits and carbon savings. Rivendell managed this project from concept stage, engaging our Pack Positive Centre in the early stages to create physical mock-ups allowing Highland Spring to test the concept. We also hosted a live digital amends session with Highland Spring’s marketing team creating both updated flat 2D and 3D visuals in real-time allowing for final approval, reducing the overall approval process and increasing overall speed to market. When it came to print, Highland Spring’s designs encompassed their iconic branding with an array of blue tones to make up the widely recognised scenic mountain backdrop. Our brand guardians produced designs that allow this branding to be replicated in print, ensuring colour consistency with other Highland Spring products.
